Holistic Mentorship
At RoadtoMed, we believe that the journey to gaining an offer from your choice of medical school takes more than UCAT preparation and excellent academic grades. It is about building the character, skills, and experiences that define a true medical school aspirant. You need to convince your medical school that you are the best candidate with great academic scores and non-academic abilities that you have acquired through structured learning and experiences.
Mentorship through structured learning
Our student portfolio is designed to document and highlight your journey as you develop the qualities and experiences medical schools are looking for.
Our structured mentorship programme supports you in completing the portfolio and in remaining motivated and focused through monthly check-ins creating accountability and guidance.
Our holistic mentorship service offers support over 2 years and includes:
Structured Learning: Each trainee receives a portfolio centred around developing skills, attributes and experiences which is filled with tasks and goals that can be tailored to their unique strengths and areas for growth.
Experience and skill building: Complete your portfolio by gaining hands-on work experience in a health service setting, engaging in volunteering and extracurriculars that develop and showcase your personal attributes.
Opportunity and support: You will be further supported to complete your portfolio through tutorials, workshops & reading lists to gain insight into a medical career.
Organisation and work ethic: Completing the portfolio is difficult and will require you to develop commitment, planning and organisation skills which will in turn allow you to succeed in medical school, as a doctor and beyond.
NHS Doctors Support: Your portfolio completion is regularly supported by our experienced NHS doctors, ensuring credibility and relevance to the medical profession.
UCAT, UCAS & Interview Support: You will also receive support with UCAT preparation, UCAS application completion & interview preparation.
Key Student Portfolio Skills and Experience Include:

While the Student Portfolio is the heart of our program, we also provide all-encompassing support during the medical school application cycle to ensure your success:
UCAT Preparation: Our tuition has been extensively researched, developed and refined to teach you the key skills that enable success within the UCAT subsections. The UCAT exam is one of the main barriers to admission into a UK medical school- you need excellent preparation.
Personal Statement guidance: From support with structure and writing to personal statement reviews accompanied by feedback and suggestions for improvement- we assist you in crafting a compelling UCAS application that showcases your achievements and readiness for a career in medicine.
Med School Interview Coaching: Develop the answers, confidence, skills and preparation technique needed to excel in interviews. We offer interview tuition and mocks made following experience on medical interview panels, interviewing aspiring medical students and extensive debating experience.
UCAS Application Support: We assist you and your family in understanding the UCAS application process, key deadlines, information specific to your universities of choice and their preferences along with constant availability for questions and troubleshooting.
