UCAT Courses

From 2025, UCAT testing format is changing. At RoadtoMed, we have updated our UCAT training course & will take you from an aspirant to an excellent UCAT scorer. For learners requiring a crash course in UCAT, we offer a block of 20 group or personalised tuition covering all aspects of the UCAT. Through our research we have broken down the UCAT subsections into individual question types, we teach effective strategies that go beyond the standard of UCAT tutoring to enable you to answer anything the UCAT throws at you and quickly. UCAT with RoadtoMed Crash Course

  • UCAT Group Course (Group Sessions)

    During UCAT Group Course, we offer 20 group sessions in the following order:

    - Verbal Reasoning : Six, 1 hour sessions

    - Decision Making : Six, 1 hour sessions

    - Quantitative Reasoning: Six, 1 hour sessions

    - Situational Judgement: Two, 1 hour sessions

    If you book all 20 group lessons in advance, we offer an excellent value of 20 UCAT lessons at £250.

  • UCAT Crash Course (1 : 1 Sessions)

    For those that prefer 1:1 tuition, for UCAT preparation we offer sessions in the following order:

    - Verbal Reasoning : Six, 1 hour sessions

    - Decision Making : Six, 1 hour sessions

    - Quantitative Reasoning: Six, 1 hour sessions

    - Situational Judgement: Two, 1 hour sessions

    If you book all 20 lessons in advance, we offer an excellent value service of 20 UCAT lessons at £40 per session. If you wish to book individual sessions, we offer these at a slightly higher price but still at a great price of £50 each one hour lesson.

UCAT Crash Course Key Sections

  • In this section, we will discuss approaches to the 5 VR question subtypes. Each subtype is introduced followed by our unique methods on tackling VR questions. Our strategy-driven teaching ensures you are fully equipped to excel in this section, providing extensive knowledge alongside practical examples. Topics covered include:

    • Drawing conclusions from premises: understanding main conclusions vs. sub-conclusions.

    • Identifying fallacious logic and distinguishing fallacies from facts within passages.

    • Analysing complex language techniques such as juxtaposition, correlation, causation, contradiction, and handling multiple keyword instances.

    • Developing reasoning skills, including making inferences and identifying assumptions based on inductive and deductive reasoning principles

  • In this section our teaching follows the different subtypes, through examples and deeper learning of the topics they’re based on, you will be ready to ace this section. For each subtype, as follows, you will learn our tried and tested methods that will guarantee you success in this section:

    • Syllogisms: Including structure, styles, and how to use Venn diagrams and arrow methods for answering.

    • Probability: Understanding simple vs compound probabilities and the rules of probability.

    • Logic Puzzles: Exploring various puzzles and their associated diagrams.

    • How to Discern Good Arguments and Avoid Assumptions: Learning to differentiate between strong and weak arguments.

    • Venn Diagram Construction and Solving: Mastering the art of constructing and solving problems using Venn diagrams.

  • In this section, get ready to sharpen your QR skills through hands-on experience with challenging tables, charts, diagrams, and real-world situations. Background theory teaching on essential topics will empower you to excel in these areas. Topics covered include:

    • Percentage Skills: Practice changing, reversing, and converting percentages within various scenarios.

    • Compound Interest: Master the calculations and concepts involved in compound interest.

    • Ratios & Proportions: Understand inverse and direct proportions, along with solving ratio problems.

    • Rate Problems: Tackle problems related to rates of flow, speed, distance, and time.

    • Tax Calculations: Utilize tax tables and learn to reverse tax calculations effectively.

    • Averages: Explore different types of averages and how to calculate them.

    • Unit Conversions: Learn how to convert between different units, time, and currencies.

  • Our Situational Judgement teaching supports you in learning the art of handling real-world scenarios. We systematically expose you to a variety of situations, sharpening your ability to recognise critical elements and the best responses.

    With engaging scenario-based testing, we will look into key skills like integrity, perspective taking, team involvement, resilience, and adaptability.

2025 UCAT Format
Abstract Reasoning will be withdrawn from the test. The test will comprise 3 cognitive subtests (Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative Reasoning) alongside the Situational Judgement Test.
