Meet the Team
At ROADTOMED, we envisioned a different approach from the traditional run-of-the-mill services offered by our competitors. Our idea was simple yet powerful: to provide aspiring medical students with affordable, personalised support that focuses on their individual needs. We were determined to break away from those who charged exorbitant fees, preying on students' fears and uncertainties. Our mission from the start has been clear - to offer a service that is not only effective but also friendly to the pocket, ensuring that every student has a fair chance at achieving their dream of studying medicine in the UK.

I recently graduated from the University of Dundee and am working as a junior doctor in Glasgow. In University, I taught International Health intercalated medical students how to debate as a part of their assessments and represented Dundee University at the BMA Students’ Conference in London. I have also been on the panel at Dundee University interviews and I have done clinical placements throughout Scotland and across many different specialities. I am enthusiastic and ready to help.
Aside from medicine I have been involved in Debating for a long time, I am a member of the European Youth Parliament and have chaired various sessions internationally, I am the former president of the Dundee University Debating Society and during High School my proudest moment may have been winning the Edinburgh Juniors debating competition, qualifying to debate in Cambridge and Oxford or qualifying for the Valencia International Session of the European Youth Parliament as a delegate after winning at the UK national session.
My passion for helping people find their interview success probably stems from my debating speaking experience and my own experience of preparing for them- in a way the interviews can be fun.
Back in my primary and high school days I quite enjoyed maths and the sciences, I took all 3 at Higher and got the highest Higher Biology mark in my year. I spent some time volunteering in lower set maths classes and did science and math tutoring too! I also enjoyed Code breaking (I had the opportunity to Code break in Bletchley Park- think Alan Turing and ‘The Imitation Game’!) and playing Chess! The problem solving aspects in these activities continue on in medicine, and as a benefit helped me in the UCAT!

I’m currently a second year medic at the University of Glasgow. I’ve just recently gone through the whole process of going into medical school and it wasn’t easy. I learned a fair few things in my journey preparing for the UCAT, interviews and even making my personal statement, and I’m quite keen to share what I learnt with you guys. For the interviews especially, what helped me a lot was my experience in public speaking and debating- as a delegate in the European Youth Parliament I discussed and found solutions to health inequalities faced by BAME groups in the UK. I was able to discuss a lot of the skills and techniques I learnt in the interviews and UCAT to 6th years from Mearns Castle High School last year, and I ended up working with a good number of them personally.

I’m Nikki, a fourth-year medical student at University College London (UCL), and I’m thrilled to be part of the RoadtoMed team!
I have extensive experience mentoring students through the complex admissions process- from admissions tests and personal statements, to interviews. But beyond this, my goal is to inspire students to take a proactive approach to their learning and develop a lasting enthusiasm that will stay with them throughout their careers.
In addition to my passion for education, I have a special interest in the intersection of computers and medicine, and hold a First-Class Honours in BSc (Intercal) Mathematics and Computer Science. Currently, I am involved in exciting part-time research in computational neurology, focusing on enhancing predictive techniques for identifying epileptic seizure zones, in collaboration with neuroscientists and clinicians at the leading institutions GOSH and Queen Square Neurology in London.
All in all, I’m keen to guide and support students in finding their path and thriving in their journey to medical school!

I am a junior doctor based in the West of Scotland, with a passion for women's health and global healthcare. After graduating from the University of Glasgow, where I received the Undergraduate Achievement Award in Endocrinology, I completed Foundation training. This was followed by my work with Selfless UK, a non-profit organisation, to run a medical health camp overseas as part of a global health leadership programme. I then took on a role as junior clinical fellow in obstetrics and gynaecology in Central Manchester and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in public health, aiming to apply for specialty training in the West of Scotland.
Alongside my clinical and academic work, I am deeply committed about mentoring aspiring medical students on their path to a career in healthcare.
Drawing on my experience running simulation courses for medical students, as well as working with established programs such as Reach Glasgow and Medic Mentor on their medical applications courses and workshops, I have successfully mentored students aiming for healthcare careers. Through personalized mentorship and classes, I have guided students in navigating the competitive application process, providing specialized workshops in personal statement writing and interview preparation. My approach not only equips students with the necessary skills to excel in interviews but also helps them articulate their passion and develop responses that showcase their unique strengths and motivations. Additionally, I am dedicated to promoting widening participation in medicine; striving to support and inspire students from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue their ambitions in healthcare.
